Helps Son To “Walk (T)His Way”
Born,
Bred and Cloned for Rock - Detail in The Mosquito Chronicles
Boston, MA, and Austin, TX, January
31, 2005 – After “promoting” dad, David “Pudge”
Scott (see Walk this Way – The Autobiography of Aerosmith) to management/mentor, three Boston based teens Shatter Proof
have rapidly written original material and released a debut EP album – The Mosquito Chronicles.
The band, made up of Drew Scott – lead singer and guitar, Gabe Maeck – bass guitar, and Stephen Chiricosta
on the drums, has been together since late 2002.
In 2004, the group placed in the TOP 5 bands at both the 2004 Berkley
College of Music’s “Battle of the High School Bands” and the Emergenza International Festival 2004 playing
in venues throughout the New England area including the famous Paradise Theatre (aka The Paradise Rock Club). Jamming with
all original material, some on the new EP, Shatter Proof went into the studio last year after placing in the contests.
Working with veterans including “Pudge”, Eric Saulnier
at Mosquito Studios for recording and Mixing, and Dana White at Specialized Mastering
the EP was produced by New Year’s. The band is now actively adding new dates to its calendar to support the launch of
The Mosquito Chronicles.
Recently compared to Bret Michaels (Poison) by Jens Metal Page web
site and rock review, the group is described as having “having a hard rock/ slightly metal sound to the music” and “a bluesy sound, which I can totally
pick up on. Different sounding, but they are good." Playing up on the veteran “Pudges” influence, drummer
Stephen Chiricosta was complimented for “doing rim shots
and small little fills you usually don't hear much of anymore.” Posts quoted by Jen from www.Jensmetalpage.com.
Pre release of the EP/Album
provided to various record companies have received positive initial reviews including "Good material" says A Reeve Chairman of Aardvark Records and "Good Stuff" says H. Nyugen
of A&R of Ascetic Records.

Band Bio
Drew Scott and his father David "Pudge" Scott, who was the original drummer of Aerosmith, had been
creating screaming guitar riffs and drum beats in their basement since around 1999 when Drew got his first guitar. The father
and son duo took these impromptu jams and turned them into songs. These songs were taken into the studio with Drew, David,
and a host of extremely talented musicians to create Drew Scott's solo project entitled "Legends In The Making".
The solo project was a step in the right direction for Drew, but he still wanted his own band and had a desire
to play with musicians his own age. He acquired the talents of Gabe Maeck, a classical and jazz musician, for bass guitar
and they spent months in Drew's basement working out the riffs and grooves that would become many of Shatter Proof's debut
songs. They still missed one very important piece of the puzzle, a younger drummer. Stephen Chiricosta, a jazz musician, turned
out to be exactly the kind of drummer they were looking for.
The
extremely varied background of all the players in Shatter Proof is what provides them their very familiar -yet extremely different
sound. If you blend these talents and influences plus a shitload of rock, a pinch of jazz, a dab of classical, and a bit of
blues and crank the volume to individual taste – you get the debut sound in The Mosquito Chronicles. Shatter Proof audio

The Mosquito Chronicles’ original music and lyrics were written primarily by Drew “litte pudge”
Scott with the exception of “Escape to the Sun” which was co-developed by Scott and Maeck.
